September 29 Memo - Participation on a Non-School Team and Membership Fees

Attached below are two memos from ASAA President George Hoyt and the ASAA Executive Committee. The first memo addresses ASAA’s policy limiting participation on a non-school team during an ASAA Season of Play. The second memo addresses payment of ASAA membership fees.

Registration Open for Rural Wrestling

Registration is now open for Rural Wrestling.

If your athletes plan on attending you MUST register them before February 21st at noon.

Please note that while club coaches can attend ASAA wrestling events with high school athletes - athletes and coaches must meet all ASAA eligibility requirements and be registered by their school via the SRS. This includes completion of the online Concussions in Sport and ASAA Bylaws and Policies courses. If you have any questions about this please contact your school athletic director.

Free SIRC Expert Webinar - Promoting Diversity and Social Justice in High School Sport: Evidence from Research and Practice

In light of recent social movements around the world that have led many to speak out and fight against social injustices (e.g., Black Lives Matter, Me Too, School Strike for Climate), there is a need to explore how high school sport can help promote social justice. The purpose of this research project is to reimagine high school sport coaching through a social justice lens.

2024 Rugby XV Provincial Championship HOST CHANGE

Due to the ongoing job action in Saskatchewan, Lloydminster Comprehensive School has had to back out of hosting the 2024 ASAA Rugby XV Provincial Championships.
Notre Dame High School, Red Deer has graciously offered to host the entire championship (Girls & Boys Tier I, Girls & Boys Tier II, Girls Tier III), and on April 19th, 202th the ASAA Executive Committee approved this bid.
