Emergency Crisis Response Plans
Please note that our tournament committee will be following the protocol for any emergency in any of our facilities that are outlined by our district policy in accordance to Alberta Health Regulations
Emergency Action Plan (EAP):
The EAP for the CCH CAMPUS WEST/CHINOOK HIGH SCHOOL venue will be as follows:
In the event that a fire alarm is activated, the Event Manager or highest representative of Catholic Central High School will act as Emergency Senior. He/She shall will identify him/herself and instruct two adult volunteers (preferable teacher) to lead all persons in a given area out of and to the following areas:
Main Gymnasium – outside the North doors and muster in the football field north of the school, with the other group.
Cafeteria/Coaches Rooms – Outside the North building doors in the main area and muster in the football field north of the school, with the other group.
Once outside, adult volunteers will immediately instruct everyone to remain as a group at all times and take a headcount of the number of persons in the group. Report this number to Ryan Myndio at 403-331-3855 as well as your Emergency Senior. The Emergency Senior will be the last person to leave the building, once all washrooms, team rooms, gymnasium and hallways have been cleared and doors have been closed. Establish contact with the Fire Department and once the all-clear is given, instruct everyone to enter the building
In the event of an injury, contact the Scoretable Supervisor and they will inform Ryan Myndio, who will inform the first aid representatives to take action. Any first aid contact beyond band-aids and ice for general aches and pains must be documented in an incident report through the Holy Spirit Public Schools Works Site within 24 hours.
An Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is located in the main gathering space outside the gymnasium. It is mounted on the wall near the main public female washroom.
An Epi-Pen is kept in the main administrative office along with the main first aid kit. Ryan Myndio, Mario Pasquotti, and Chris Leroux can access this item pending assignments.
